What do you think are the best calls to train your dog to? Some peolpe use sounds like clicks or whistles, others use english words, while others use foreign words. I haven't decided which I think is the best overall and wanted to find out if anyone else had an opinion on the subject.

This is one topic that while there is no way that I can comment on, I would love to know the answer to. We are to the point of putting the boys into some type of class, agiity if I can get them in, and basic obedience if the other is not an option. I wanted to find out what kind of class would be the best.

I have seen other people use the whole foreign language method, and have thought that might be a good thing. Well trained dogs will usually listen to who ever gets the command, but sometimes you only want them to listen only to you. I have never used the clickers, but I think that is what you use for training with some of the dog sports.
I like my dogs better than I do most people!

You know I tried that once and then kept forgetting the words myself. I found that the dog has trouble remembering the commands when i can't even do it. gave that one up pretty quick.
