Hey I was wondering what you all use on your dogs to combat boredom. I've tried the kong and a few other toys like that but still looking for that perfect answer. Anything would help! I like my dogs better than I do most people!

Have you tried a tug-a-jug? My trainer suggested it and it is awesome! Its like a milk jug with a knotted rope coming out of one end. You fill it woith food and as they toss it around pieces of food will drop out. The jug is made of bullet proof plastic. Works great! The more you live the less you die.

Is this a problem for all big dogs or just some? What about puppies? I have two small lab puppies and I would like to head this off it might become a problem.

Yeah Labra, your dogs will be big on the boredom train. You need to start looking into things now. Akitagirl was taliking about a Kong, these are great boredom fighters that can be stuffed with just about anything here:
go check it out. They come in all sizes and even have one for puppies. You will be soooo happy in a few months that you were thinking ahead. The more you live the less you die.

Hey MoonStalker. Where did you find this tug-a-jug thing. I've never heard of that! I try to stay on top of new ways to outsmart my dogs so I get pretty excited when something comes up. I like my dogs better than I do most people!

A trainer recommened it to me, and she just happened to sell them at her school. It really is the greatest thing I have used. My dog will mess with that thing for at least 2 hours trying to get evey last piece out. If I have something I have to do and she wants to help too much, I will give her a whole meal in it. Two hours of peace The more you live the less you die.
