I was wondering what everyone's preferd method of bathing was. I like to go for in the guest bathroom with the detachable shower head. You have to clean up when your done, but I think that it helps to keep them contained rather than trying to chase them around. The more you live the less you die.

This kind of goes with the whole grooming theme mentioned in anothe post, but I go with having someone else do it! Until they are 6 months old it is next to nothing to have them bathed and groomed at Petsmart. I take full advantage and will until the start charging me the big dog price!

Do they offer that at all the Petsmarts? I think that we have one of those up here now, and that sounds like a good deal. I know that my daughters would be much happier with me and that just might take us through most of the winter. It is very hard to bathe a big dog in 0 zero degree weather no matter iwhere you do it! they have to stay inside until they are completely dry.

Okay, that would be lame. I hadn't even throught about that!. I mean I don't stick Sierra outside to dry when its cold outside, but that just takes things to a whole new level. You porbably can't even stick them is the garage can you? It takes a long time for a dog this big to dry, and I can't imagine dealing with the mess of hair and water! The more you live the less you die.

Since I have labs, bath time really isn't an issue. My dogs love the water, and outside is the only way to go. They love to try and attack the hose and the water as it comes out. The hardest part is to try and clean one dog while the others are chasing the water. They think that it is a treat. I lucked out on that front.
