Dog Training Secrets Revealed
Step-by-step how to train your large dog or puppy - And never have to worry about a disobedient dog ever again. **Best Coarse around, includes detailed DVDs for quick learning.

Origin: Britain
Life Expectancy: 7-9 years
Height Range: 28-35 inches / can reach up to 7 ft. tall
Weight Range: 90-150 Ibs
Colors: Gray, brindle, red, black or white. Gray is the most common color.
Temperament: The Irish Wolfhound is a very sweet, gentle, generous, patient, thoughtful, easy-going, and highly intelligent dog. They work very well with children and are unconditionally loyal to their owner and family. This extremely large dog generally treats everyone as a friend, so you might not want to use them as a watchdog, but will protect its owner, if need be, at all costs. These dogs mature slowly at around 2 -3 years and can be quite clumsy at times. They do, although, grow very fast so a good diet is definately in need. This dog is well known, like the Great Dane, to be a "gentle giant". Great for all families, large or small.
Trainability: Very easy to train. Responds well to firm but gentle training. This dog quickly grasps what the concepts you throw at him.
Health: The Irish Wolfhound dogs are prone to cardiomyopathy, bone cancer, bloat, PRA, Von Willebrands, and hip dysplasia.

With Other Animals: Gets along with other dogs. Is very calm and mild-mannered in nature.
Children: Excellent. Can be trusted around small children.
Climate: Tolerates hot climates, but does not react well with cold climates.
Indoor/Outdoor: Either. Will work well within any climate. Shade is recommended for hot climates. Doesn't need too much exercise. An occasional walk will do. These dogs could be kept within an apartment due to their mild nature, but because of thier size, it is not recommended.
Grooming: Moderate. Needs regular grooming. This breed is an average shedder.
Recognition: CKC, FCI, AKC, UKC, KCGB, CKC, ANKC, NKC, IWCA, NZKC, APRI, ACR
