Greyhound Dog Training Secrets Revealed
Step-by-step how to train your large dog or puppy - And never have to worry about a disobedient dog ever again. **Best Coarse around, includes detailed DVDs for quick learning.

Origin: Argentina
Life Expectancy: 10-12 years
Height Range: 27-30 inches
Weight Range: 60-70 Ibs
Colors: White, fawn, red, black, red brindle, black brindle; with or without white markings
Temperament: The Greyhound dog can be described as intelligent, sweet, sensitive, elegant, brave and loyal. Most breeds have a distinctive prey instinct about them and will chase anything that moves quickly. They tend to bond closely with people and have a magnificent stamina capability. Today, these animals are used primarily in dog races, but used to make great hunters, watchdogs, and lure coursing. Racing lines are bred for performance, but often make great, outgoing and caring house dogs once their racing days are over.
Trainability: Fair. Good at learning daily tasks. Doesn't work well with obediance tasks.
Health: The Greyhound dog may be prone to bloat. It is better to feed them 2 or 3 small meals rather than one large one.

With Other Animals: Moderate. Tends to chase smaller animals. Socialize at early age to prevent timid behavior.
Children: Good, but are not suited for rough play. Small children, if not taught to respect this dog, may have difficulties.
Climate: Tolerates hot climates. Not so good for cold weather. Will do well with cold climates if dog coat is worn.
Indoor/Outdoor: Either. If kept indoors will need plenty of time to go outside and run. They remain very calm within the indoor environment. Can be kept within an apartment as long as regular exercise is taken.
Grooming: Low.
Recognition: FCI, AKC, UKC, KCGB, CKC, ANKC, NKC, NZKC, CKC, APRI, ACR
