This dog is also known to be a very good show dog and companion to the average family.

With Other Animals: German Shepards are good with other animals if they are raised with them or trained to accept them.
Children: Loving and protective of children and family. Suspicious of other people.
Climate: Tolerates cold climates well.
Indoor/Outdoor: Can be fully left outside. If let inside, needs plenty of outdoor time. Will do okay in apartment setting as long as they are walked regularly. Needs alot of exercise and fenced in backyard is best.
Grooming: Average, every other day brushing. Sheds bits of hair constantly.
