Life Expectancy: 10-12 years
Height Range: 24-27 inches
Weight Range: 80-100 Ibs

Temperament: The Dogo Argentino or Argentine dogo, is a magnificent guard dog. This breed is loyal to the family, playful, and highly intelligent. Loves to kiss and cuddle with family members or those they accept. This loving dog treats his family with kindness and affection, but will protect them at all costs. This dog has been successful as a guard dog, police dog, military dog, and guide dog. Owner need to be careful on how they train these dogs. They can be used to carry out ferocious behavior or can be as gentle as a kitten.
Trainability: Very easy to train, but needs a firm and caring trainer. Requires early obediance training.
Health: Generally a very healthy breed. Prone to bloat and dwarfism.
 

With Other Animals: Can be aggressive with other animals, but does not provoke confrontation. Good with other pets if raised around them.
Children: Good with small children.
Climate: Tolerates hot climates, but does not react well with cold climates.
Indoor/Outdoor: Either. This breed will do ok in an apartment if it is exercised regularly. This dog does best in at least an average sized yard. Needs plenty of exercise.
