Temperament: The Bullmastiff dog is a very good guard dog. Always alert and devoted to protecting their owner. Docile unless provoked, this breed is fearless and protective, yet affectionate, calm, and loyal with its master. These dogs also love human attention, but should be trained to be around other animals and dogs at an early age, due to this dog being so powerful and aggressive around other animals. The Bullmastiff is more aggressive than the mastiff and tends to snore and drool alot. This breed is not difficult to handle, but does need a master who can assert control.

With Other Animals: Good with smaller pets, but some may not tolerate other animals if not raised with them.
